A Midsummer Night’s Whoa: How to Use Coconut Oil in 5 Sexy Acts

How to Use Coconut Oil

Coconut oil has been all the rage lately. From a hair product, to a weight loss enhancer, to a teeth whitener and a fungus fighter, the possibilities for coconut oil are endless. All you need to do is Google “ways to use coconut oil” and dozens of articles will pop up. Because of its many benefits, coconut oil has been dubbed a “superfood.” And while coconut oil does have many benefits, there are a few more ways to put all that oil to excellent use.

And what else, pray tell, can we use this oil for? How about some well-deserved sexy time? That’s right, that innocent little jar of coconut oil can be used in many imaginative ways. Whether that’s between the sheets, in a warm bath or in front of a fireplace, your coconut oil can be working for you so that you and your partner reap all the benefits of this sexy, natural oil.

But let’s get one thing straight. When you purchase coconut oil, make sure you’re buying PURE coconut oil. Flip that bottle around and read the label. The only ingredient on that label should be coconut oil, plain and simple. Any other ingredients listed on that label and you may as well be rolling around in Canola oil because anything that’s not pure may seep into your skin and become an irritant. So pay attention and read carefully. Afterward, I hope you feel inspired to get a little fresh with your oil.

Act I: Increase Your Sex Drive

Before we get to the juicy parts, did you know that we can use coconut oil to actually increases sex drive? Eating clean makes us feel better, and when we feel better, the sex will naturally be in our favor. Eating clean involves incorporating healthy, whole foods into our diet and good fats, such as coconut oil. Consuming 2-3 tablespoons of virgin coconut oil has been shown to improve libido.

A research team from the University of St. Thomas studied the effects of coconut oil consumption on 189 people. 110 participants took 3 tablespoons of virgin coconut oil every day, while the remaining 79 took a placebo. Of the 110, 13% were sexually active during the duration of the study.

Coconut oil also contains antioxidants which break down free radicals that cause a lowered libido and overall sex drive. Also, a lowered libido might be caused by a health condition called adrenal fatigue. Adrenals are the glands above our kidneys that secrete hormones and directly influence our energy, metabolism, sleep and sexual organs. Because our adrenal glands are constantly hard at work they need proper care. In order to provide that proper care, we can consume iodine-rich foods, such as coconut oil. Minerals such as iodine help sustain and give life to our adrenal glands. Coconut oil can provide the stimulation your libido might be looking for.

Act II: Sexy Oil Massage

Let’s take a moment and imagine that perfect evening. You’ve just had an incredible dinner, candles are lit and the wine is just about finished. Soft music is playing in the background and it’s just you and your lover. You look at your lover and they ask, “so, what do you want to do?” You give off a devilish grin and walk over to the coconut oil.

Warming the coconut oil up in the microwave, while your lover gets undressed, you then begin to massage your lover. Rubbing oil everywhere and watching their skin as it shimmers in the soft candlelight. You then proceed to….OK, we won’t go that far…back to reality here. Obviously coconut oil can be an awesome oil for a massage. Everyone loves an oil massage, the way the oil rubs so easily into your muscles, soothing away aches, pains and tension.

What’s wonderful about using coconut oil during a massage is that it’s edible, duh. But unlike other edible massage oils, coconut oil isn’t sticky, it has a wonderful taste and smells extremely aromatic. Other edible massage oils that you buy at the store sometimes have a funky taste and aren’t very natural.

Giving a massage to your partner is a great way to spice up your love life. When giving (and getting) massages you’re spending time with your partner, learning what feels good on each other’s bodies and sharing a new experience. Most importantly, you’re connecting. Connecting through touch and intuition. Breathing together and creating wonderful, full-body sensations.

Act III: Edible Body Paint

You’ve finished your massage and now you’re coated in a shiny, oily glaze. What do you do now? Well, since you’re already covered in oil, why not have a little more fun with edible body paint?

Painting your partner’s body and then slowly licking it off is a sexy way to keep the fun going. Lucky for you, coconut oil is an awesome ingredient to combine with either cacao or cocoa powder to make a deliciously, nutritious edible paint.

If you weren’t already covered in oil, you would mix the oil, powder and honey (if you’d like), all together until it makes a paste. Once the paste is ready let your imagination run wild. Don’t be shy about using your bodies as a canvas. You can make intricate designs or have a little fun and make it silly. Body paint is a sensual and delicious way to make your time together a little more sexy.

Act IV: Steamy Coconut Oil Bath

Now that you’re covered in oil and chocolate-y powder, what’s next? How about you take the candles and oil to the bathroom and start to run a warm bath? Nothing feels better after a massage than a nice, warm bath. Simply, add a generous heap of coconut oil to the water and hop in together. If there are any essential oils nearby, throw those in as well. Lavender, cedarwood and sage are all great fragrances to make the bath water relaxing and sensual.

Let the warm water wash over you, as you continue to explore each other’s bodies. Be creative, as EVERY body part can benefit from a nice, soothing massage in the bath. As you soak in the luxurious warmth of the coconut oil, your body is drenching itself in natural moisturizers. The steamy heat creates an ever-so-intimate setting. When you’re finished with sexy-tub-time, be sure to gently dry each other off.

Act V: Take It To The Bedroom

Sexy bath time is over and it’s time to take things to the bedroom (or wherever, for that matter). Be sure to bring the coconut oil with you, as the final act is about to ensue. As you spread out on the bed, keep that coconut oil close by because it can be used as an incredible lubricant.

Using coconut oil as a lubricant during foreplay is a natural, tasty way to get things going in the sack. Unlike store-bought lubricants that are made with parabens and glycerins, coconut oil is all natural and will leave your skin feeling soft and supple. The problem with said parabens and glycerins are that when they breakdown they can break down into irritants. Fortunately, there are no such problems with coconut oil.

In fact, smearing the coconut oil all over your partner is highly encouraged (as exhibited in Acts II and III). Foreplay is vital for good sex. Engaging in activities that are sexually arousing helps both parties to naturally lubricate and ‘harden’ up. And when we’re combining coconut oil with foreplay, the sky is the limit! Get creative and try things out that you’ve never tried before. Because certain, uh, ‘parts’ are all greased up, it should allow for easy access and smooth transitions. Coconut oil should be used in all of your sexual endeavors. Trust me, once you start to use it you won’t stop. Using coconut oil with your partner will change your sex-life in all the RIGHT ways.

Important Tip:

However, it’s important to know that if you are lubed up with this oily goodness, that you should be careful with condoms. I’m not advocating that you have sex without condoms, by any means, but I am saying that if your partner is covered in coconut oil and you place a condom over his…yeah, it will probably come off. Also, ANYTHING oil-based will degrade latex condoms which can cause it to deteriorate and break. So, if condoms are your means of protection then switching to a polyurethane variety would be best.

And before we end on that ever-so-steamy public service announcement, please do keep in mind that coconut oil doesn’t have to be used ONLY with your partner (partners?). You can also use the oil solo (and I don’t mean cooking). If you find yourself in need of little, “me” time, simply crack that bottle open and go to town. You’ll love the way it feels, again, moisturizing and pleasing all at the same time. And did I mention its anti-bacterial properties? That’s right ladies (gentlemen too, but this is mostly for the ladies), coconut oil contains anti-fungal properties that help reduce the risk of infection. So not only is coconut oil magical in SO many other ways, but it also protects and disinfects. WIN!

So what are you waiting for? Is there coconut oil at your disposal? If not, go out and get some…now. If you do have some I think…

it’s time to get a little creative and very naughty.
