Carlos grew up three hours from Puerto Jimenez, in the Biolley district located near La Amistad International Park (the largest conservation area in Costa Rica and extending into Panama). Carlos moved to Puerto Jimenez twelve years ago and fell in love with the people, beaches, rivers, and everything else that this beautiful region has to offer. For this reason, he decided to stay and make the Golfo Dulce his home.
Carlos has been working in customer service and tourism for the past seven years. He loves working at Blue Osa because he gets the chance to meet people from all over the world and learn something new every day. Carlos is passionate about being able to teach all who come to Blue Osa as much as he can about the great Osa Peninsula and Corcovado National Park.
During his free time, Carlos enjoys being with his family and nine-year-old son. He also loves to write, read books, swim, play soccer and Taekwondo. Carlos especially enjoys hiking and exploring in order to be in direct contact with nature and observe the incredible biodiversity of animals and plants that surround this part of the country.
