Disconnect from burnout. Reconnect to your energy, your practice, and what truly sustains you.
A yoga retreat for burnout is more than a vacationโit’s a necessary reset for your nervous system, your energy, and your life.
Burnout doesn’t announce itself. It builds quietlyโshowing up as exhaustion you can’t shake, a to-do list that never ends, and the growing sense that you’re running on empty.
If you’re here, you already know you need to step away. Not for a weekend. Not for a quick fix. But for real rest, real reconnection, and real recovery.
The Good Energy Yoga Retreat is designed specifically for people experiencing burnout. This isn’t a vacation where you fill every hour with activities. It’s an immersive week where slowing down is the practiceโand reconnecting to yourself is the goal.
Led by experienced yoga teacher Amanda Mackey at Blue Osa Yoga Retreat on Costa Rica’s remote Osa Peninsula, this yoga retreat for burnout offers the space, practices, and support you need to restore your energy and return home with clarity.
Why Choose a Yoga Retreat for Burnout Recovery?
Burnout recovery requires more than a few days off. It requires removing yourself from the environment that drained you, learning practices that restore your nervous system, and giving your body permission to actually rest.
What Makes This Yoga Retreat for Burnout Different:
Complete Disconnection from Daily Demands
No work emails. No household responsibilities. No decisions beyond “Do I want to practice on the beach or in the shala today?” Blue Osa’s location on the Osa Peninsulaโsurrounded by jungle and oceanโcreates natural separation from the noise.
Grounding Movement Practices
Daily yoga classes focus on grounding, not performance. You’ll practice gentle flows, restorative poses, and movements designed to help you feel present in your body againโnot achieve Instagram-worthy shapes.
Energy-Balancing Techniques
Burnout depletes your energy. This retreat teaches practical tools to restore balance: breathwork to calm your nervous system, meditation to quiet mental chatter, and energy practices to help you recognize what drains you versus what sustains you.
Nourishing Farm-to-Table Meals
Every meal at Blue Osa is prepared with organic, locally-sourced ingredients. Food becomes part of the healing processโnourishing your body without requiring any effort from you.
Time to Actually Rest
Afternoons are yours. Sleep. Journal. Walk jungle trails. Swim in the saltwater pool. Read a book with nothing but ocean sounds as your soundtrack. Rest isn’t a reward hereโit’s built into the schedule.

About Your Instructor
Amanda
Amanda Mackey understands burnoutโnot as a concept, but as lived experience. As a yoga teacher, former studio owner, and someone who has navigated her own periods of depletion, she knows what it takes to rebuild your energy from the ground up.
Teaching Style:
Amanda’s approach is grounded, accessible, and deeply practical. She doesn’t teach yoga as performance. She teaches it as a tool for coming back to yourselfโmeeting you exactly where you are, whether that’s exhausted, disconnected, or simply ready for something to shift.
Experience:
- Nearly a decade teaching yoga across multiple styles
- Former studio owner in Central New York
- Regular assistant teacher at Blue Osa Yoga Retreat & Spa
- Recently assisted Yogi Aaron with the North India teacher training and retreat
- Certified in multiple yoga styles with specialized training in energy work
Her Philosophy:
“Burnout happens when we disconnect from what actually sustains us. This retreat isn’t about pushing yourself to do more yoga or be more productive. It’s about giving yourself permission to rest deeply, reconnect with your body’s wisdom, and remember what good energy actually feels like.”
Amanda creates a container where healing happens naturallyโnot through forcing or striving, but through slowing down enough to let your nervous system recalibrate.
