Christmas Yoga Retreat Costa Rica 2026
Do the Holidays Differently

You don’t have to do Christmas the same way this year.

A Christmas yoga retreat Costa Rica offers is unlike anything else — and Blue Osa might be exactly what you’ve been looking for.

Picture this: December 19th. While most people are bracing for airports, family tension, and too much sugar, you are stepping off a small plane onto the Osa Peninsula. The air smells like rain and ocean. Someone hands you a welcome drink. Tomorrow morning, you’ll practice yoga in an open-air shala as howler monkeys wake up the rainforest.

This is Christmas at Blue Osa.

We designed this week for people who are ready to step off the treadmill of holiday obligation and into something that actually restores them. Not a party. Not an escape from reality. A week of returning to yourself — with great food, great yoga, and a small group of people who chose to be exactly here.

Every morning you’ll move through a yoga class led by Yogi Aaron, guided by his AYAMA methodology — designed not to push you harder, but to help your body feel genuinely strong and free of pain. Classes are accessible whether you’ve practiced for six months or fifteen years.

Every afternoon is yours. Nap in a hammock. Book a massage at the spa. Hike to a waterfall. Kayak the mangroves. Watch dolphins from a boat. Or simply sit on the beach and read the book you’ve been meaning to start for three years.

Every evening the community gathers on the deck as the sky turns orange over the Pacific. Then we sit down to dinner together — farm-to-table meals made from ingredients grown on the property and sourced from local farmers. Real food, made with real care.

On Christmas Day, we celebrate. A special dinner. Candlelight. A community that, by now, feels like family.

The best Christmas yoga retreat Costa Rica has to offer isn’t about escaping your life. It’s about remembering what you love about it.

Simple. Joyful. Connected.

Since 2002, Yogi Aaron has been leading life-changing retreats at Blue Osa, where his nurturing teaching style creates a safe space for students to go inward, restore their vitality, and find lasting pain relief. His passion lies in holding compassionate space for transformation while empowering students to reconnect with their body’s natural capacity for healing and wholeness.

“Before working with Yogi Aaron, I had accepted chronic back pain as my normal after 20 years of yoga practice. I thought I needed to stretch more, go deeper, push harder. Aaron completely transformed my understanding of my body. Through his AYAMA approach, I learned that my pain wasn’t from tightness—it was from weakness. Within weeks of focusing on muscle activation instead of stretching, my pain disappeared. Aaron doesn’t just teach yoga; he teaches you how to truly inhabit your body with strength, awareness, and freedom. His wisdom changed my life, and now I can share that gift with my own students.”

Testimonials

“The wisdom you imparted upon us was simply life changing. I have never been exposed to yoga in such an all encompassing manner before and as a naturally curious person, I am overwhelmed with everything I learned and will hopefully continue to learn for the rest of my life. You are an incredible person and I thank you for opening the door to a whole new world to me.”
~Stuart

“After decades of yoga — stretching diligently, inflicting pain as instructed, with meager results — I accidentally came across Stop Stretching. From the first sentence I understood this was what I had been looking for. In a few months of moderate AYAMA practice, my stiff kyphosis has loosened and my backbends are deeper than ever. More results in months than in decades of stretching.”
~Audun Myskja, MD, PhD, Norway

Studying AYAMA with Aaron completely shifted my idea of yoga and how skewed the practice by the mainstream this ancient medicine has become.
I have left this program a renewed Soul, having met some lifelong friends, and having received invaluable information in one of the most beautiful places on our planet.
~ Alexandra

“I have performed countless mobility assessments in emergency medicine and never truly identified the core issue — because I didn’t understand what I was assessing. This changed that. I now understand the root cause of weakness, and I wish this had been taught in nursing school. These lessons will make my practice more focused, improve patient outcomes, and help keep people out of the emergency department.”
~ Wendy Schmolzi, Emergency Department Nurse, AYAMA Student
