About Your Hosts:
Pilar Avila
Doing well and doing good is the path to living abundantly free – this is my ethos and my North Star. I hold an RYS 200 Yoga Teacher Certification from the Blue Osa Yoga Retreat Institute, accredited by Yoga Alliance. My mission as a yoga teacher is to introduce yoga to souls who may have not had access to it, may have discounted themselves because they deemed themselves not to have the right mobility, ability, shape or age, or just simply missed to realize the holistic benefits of yoga for mind, body and soul. I have had an immensely rewarding life and career as a business leader, civic activist and change agent, while living my passion to fuel the rise of diverse leadership, promoting access to economic opportunity, and investing in education. But no matter what I have done or accomplished, as a human being, I always have new goals and dreams – and Renovad is the expression of that endless desire to live a meaningful and purposeful life, doing well and doing good.

I am a 500-hour registered yoga teacher (E-RYT 500) also holding certificates for yoga therapy, yoga for Veterans, yoga for PTSD, and yoga for eating disorders. I am also a certified Personal trainer, and Reiki practitioner. I found myself in child’s pose after a serious injury that severely limited my mobility. The space yoga created for me to heal my physical body, my thought patterns, and connection with myself is something I remember every time I teach and practice yoga. I cherish the wisdom a yoga practice offers, and it is an honor for me to facilitate my yoga students through their personal processes.
