About Your Yoga Instructor:
Chelsea McDonald
My yoga journey started at the age of 12, when my mother placed me in a summer school yoga class. The teacher introduced us to visual meditation, and my path opened from there. I received my 200 hour training from the Kula Collective in Guatemala in 2018, and my 300 hour training with Inner Peace Yoga Therapy based in Durango, Colorado in 2021. I have trained under Kali Bassman and Kari Kwinn in the principals of Yin Yoga. I have collectively completed over 800 additional hours of education, and more than a thousand hours of teaching and sharing the practices of yoga. I am currently on the 800 hour path to become a Yoga Therapist with Inner Peace Yoga Therapy.
Through many travels and moves, there has always been only one constant, the study of yoga. The practice of yoga asana (physical movement) is like returning home each time I step on the mat. The path to relieve depression and anxiety through yoga, and return to our center, our true home, is what I am called to share with you all.
