Escape to the Mediterranean: A Transformative Greece Yoga Retreat

Join Yogi Aaron on the Mani Peninsula for a week of yoga, Greek cuisine, and life-changing transformation.

Nourish your body, feed your soul: a Greece yoga retreat where every meal is a meditation.

Picture this: You wake to the sound of waves. The Mediterranean stretches endlessly blue before you. The air smells like wild herbs and salt. This is your escape.

I’m taking you to the Mani Peninsula—the Greece most people never find. Untouched stone villages. Hidden coves. Sunrises that stop you in your tracks. And food that tastes as if it came straight from the earth.

This retreat is my invitation to you: Leave everything behind. Let the Mediterranean work its magic. And discover what transformation really feels like.

No agenda.

No rush.

Just you, reconnecting on the Mediterranean on a Greece Yoga Retreat.

Yogi Aaron | Greece Yoga Retreat

Join me and a small group of like-minded yogis (8 – 12 people) for a week that will change you!

What to expect during the Greece Yoga Retreat:

  • Morning yoga by the sea: Practices designed to help you move pain-free and reconnect with your body’s natural strength
  • Soul-nourishing Greek cuisine: Farm-to-table meals featuring fresh fish, wild greens, olive oil, honey, and flavors that ground you in this ancient land
  • Hiking & exploration: Discover hidden beaches, Byzantine churches, and trails with panoramic views of the endless Mediterranean
  • Sunrises & sunsets: Begin and end each day in awe
  • Time for true rest: Afternoons are yours—wander, nap, or simply breathe in the serenity
  • Deep community: Connect with others who understand the journey toward inner peace

This isn’t a retreat where you push yourself or follow a rigid schedule.

It’s a week where you remember what it feels like to be fully alive.

Where Greek food becomes medicine. Where the Mediterranean reminds you to slow down and come home to yourself.

“The Mani Peninsula transformed me years ago, and I return as often as I can. The land, the people, the pace of life—it all teaches you what matters. I can’t wait to share this sacred corner of Greece with you and witness your own transformation.”

Blessings,

Yogi Aaron

Yogi Aaron - Your Guide to Mediterranean Transformation

Aaron’s passion is bringing yogis together from around the world, and leading this Greece yoga retreat is one of his greatest joys.

With over 30 years of dedicated practice and teaching, Yogi Aaron brings passion, adventure, and a revolutionary approach to yoga. As author of “Stop Stretching!” and owner of Blue Osa Yoga Retreat & Spa in Costa Rica, Aaron has transformed hundreds of lives through his unique methodology.

Aaron’s own powerful transformation story—from facing potential spinal fusion surgery to discovering a revolutionary approach that eliminated his chronic pain—embodies the essence of what’s possible when you escape the noise and reconnect with your body. He’s the creator of AYAMA™ (Applied Yoga Anatomy + Muscle Activation), a practice that activates muscles rather than stretching them to build lasting strength and pain-free movement.

As a passionate world traveler and explorer, Aaron has fallen deeply in love with Greece. The Mani Peninsula holds a special place in his heart—its timeless pace, authentic cuisine, and Mediterranean serenity mirror the transformation he guides his students through. Known for his sense of humor, contagious laugh, and adventurous spirit, Aaron creates retreats that feel less like workshops and more like coming home to yourself.

Whether you’re seeking pain-free living, deeper connection, or simply an escape to one of the world’s most beautiful corners, Aaron’s expertise in helping students “liberate the old and invite the new” makes him the ideal guide for this Greece yoga retreat and your Mediterranean transformation.

Travel Guide: Getting to Kyrimai Hotel on the Mani Peninsula, Greece

Planning your journey to our Greece yoga retreat at Kyrimai Hotel is part of the adventure. The route through the Peloponnese offers stunning landscapes, ancient sites, and authentic Greek villages that will captivate you from the moment you land in Athens.

How to Get to Our Mani Peninsula Yoga Retreat

There are two main ways to reach Kyrimai Hotel for your yoga retreat in Greece:

Option 1: Fly to Athens Airport (Most Popular)

Fly into Athens International Airport (ATH), rent a car, and drive to the Mani Peninsula. The scenic drive from Athens to Kyrimai takes approximately 3-4 hours through the beautiful Peloponnese region, but we highly recommend allowing extra time to explore Greece’s incredible historic sites along the way.

Why this route is perfect for your Greece retreat: The drive from Athens to Mani Peninsula passes stunning coastal roads, mountain villages, and world-famous archaeological sites like Nafplio’s Venetian fortress and the ancient theater of Epidaurus. Having a rental car also gives you the freedom to explore the Mani region during your free time at the retreat.

Option 2: Fly to Kalamata Airport (Closest Airport)

If you can find an international flight into Kalamata Airport (KLX), this is the closest airport to Kyrimai Hotel and the Mani Peninsula. We can arrange a shuttle pickup from Kalamata Airport directly to the retreat. Just let me know if you need help coordinating this!

Testimonials

“I am still in awe of everything I experienced in that week. The resort was awesome, from the staff to the culinary delights to the magical location. Of course, the highlight was getting to meet you and spend time with you. The wisdom you imparted to us was simply life-changing. I have never been exposed to yoga in this all-encompassing way before, and as a naturally curious person, I am overwhelmed by everything I have learned and will hopefully continue to learn for the rest of my life. You are an incredible person, and I thank you for opening the door to a whole new world to me.”
~ Stuart

Studying AYAMA with Aaron completely shifted my idea of yoga and how skewed the practice by the mainstream this ancient medicine has become. I have left this program a renewed Soul, having met some lifelong friends, and having received invaluable information in one of the most beautiful places on our planet.
~ Alexandra

“After spending a week practicing this with you in December, I can testify firsthand that this is really important material and really effective towards eliminating pain and strengthening underused muscles. Thank you!”
~ Harriet

“As a former Ashtanga practitioner, I had to unlearn a lot and relearn a new pain-free way of yoga during my teacher training with Aaron. The way he integrates his knowledge of Applied Yoga Anatomy and Muscle Activation™ is a mindful and safe way to practice yoga. In a short period of time, my shoulder pain got less and less, and I felt more strength throughout my body. Now I look at some poses in yoga in a different light and have a much greater understanding of their impact on the body.”
~ Hendrike

“After long periods with chronic pain, trying different treatments, and doing a lot of stretching, I signed up for the 200 YTT at BlueOsa and did the Free 15-day challenge in advance. I am amazed and so grateful for how quickly the muscle activation and relaxation techniques I learned released my pain and tension.”
~ Charlotte

“I am working on this course while in Aruba. This morning we did our long morning walk/run, which is approximately 10km. Coming from the extreme cold back home, I haven’t been doing my regular 5km walks. So 10km is A LOT, and every year we do this, and I am always stiff and sore all day after these walks/runs, going back as long as I can remember. After my walk today, I did this practice on the beach, and when I was done, I felt rejuvenated and, as I now know, after taking the AYAMA courses 1& 2, what I actually felt was “activated and stable.” And from regularly practicing the AYAMA exercises, I also enjoyed the walk much more than I ever have. My hips and back were not sore. I am so grateful for AYAMA!!”
