Volunteer
Live. Practice. Contribute.
Trade your skills for an immersive life at one of Costa Rica's most celebrated oceanfront yoga retreats.
The Work-Trade Experience
More than volunteering. It's seva.
At Blue Osa, we believe in the yogic tradition of seva — mindful service offered with full presence and non-attachment. In exchange for your skills and dedication, you become an intrinsic part of our community: the guests, the staff, the animals, the jungle, the sea.
"In yogic philosophy, offering service is one of the highest forms of yoga practice. Seva means to give fully, without expectation."
— Yogi Aaron,
Founder of Blue Osa
Volunteering at Blue Osa is an opportunity to grow — professionally and spiritually — while contributing something meaningful to our mission: to provide the most nurturing and transformative environment possible for our guests.

✗ Are not open to significant lifestyle changes or structure
✗ Cannot commit to 25 hours of focused work per week

Required Reading Before You Arrive
All work-traders must read Yogi Aaron's book, Stop Stretching! A New Yogic Approach to Master Your Body and Live Pain-Free, before arriving. It explains our teaching philosophy, the standards we hold in yoga instruction, and the voice you'll be writing from.
