Costa Rica rewilding yoga retreat

Rewilding The Heart

A yoga experience to reawaken your truest nature and inner joy.

Rewilding def: Revert back to a natural or untamed state of being.

Since childhood, we have been molded by our families and communities to fit a particular way of interacting with the world, and often times this comes at the cost of losing our true nature. We give up our personal preferences, dreams, and even our health in order to fit the mold and play the part society sets for us. It’s time to reconnect with your true self and start rewilding! Spending a week surrounded by the healing power of nature and reawakening your inner voice is what this week together is all about.

Join us for the adventure of a lifetime as we explore the magical Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica. One of the wildest and most beautiful places on earth. Tucked away and surrounded by jungle and ocean, we’ll spend 7 days at Blue Osa Eco Retreat Center, which is known for its hospitality and beauty. We will immerse ourselves in the healing practices of yoga, meditation, creativity, sound healing, fresh foods, and everything you need to connect to your inner joy and well-being. We will spend time each day exploring nature, cultivating self-care habits, and nourishing our bodies, minds, and hearts. Morning and evening yoga classes will be offered daily as well as sunrise meditation, yoga Nidra, and afternoon workshops. Of course, there will also be time each day for reflection and personal space for your unique journey of well-being. There are opportunities to explore more of the Osa by horseback, kayak, surfboarding, or jungle hikes. Each experience offered is an invitation not only to adventure outward but to explore inward so that you return to your daily life back home feeling fully nourished and eager for life. We want you to feel inspired by your time in Costa Rica long after we part ways. Let your rewilding adventure begin!

About Your Yoga Instructor(s):

Erica

Erica grew up in Arizona and began practicing yoga at age 15 to prevent spinal surgery for severe scoliosis. She fell in love with how the practice made her feel physically and mentally and decided to continue down the yoga path even after she was told by doctors that she no longer needed surgery but was given the grim prognosis of being in a wheelchair by age 40. Now, in her mid-thirties she is happier and healthier than ever (no wheelchair in sight) and feels that she owes much of her happiness and health to the study and practice of Yoga. For almost 15 years, Erica has continued to study and learn from many amazing teachers. All have all had an impact on her life and will no doubt inspire her work with you! She earned her 200-hour teaching certification from the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in 2008, 500 hour Master Immersions training with Mary Bruce and Lynn Matthews in 2012, and has studied with many others. Erica co-owned a successful yoga studio for 6 years and is now the Founder of Erica Rose Yoga LLC. In 2017, Erica was named Best Yoga Instructor in Phoenix by Natural Awakening Magazine. She lives in Phoenix, AZ with the loves of her life, Patrick her partner, Pancake the rescue pup, and Samadhi the rescue cat!

Ingrid

Ingrid’s yoga journey began in 1997. Feeling hopeless in her youth, with many broken bones (due to early onset osteoporosis), she turned to meditation, praying for guidance for healing; 3 days later Sivananda Yoga came into her life. In 2001, she completed her first yoga teacher training at 7 Centers Yoga Arts in Sedona, Arizona. She later completed an Ashtanga based 200 hr. training. She has since become a Register Nurse, and currently works in addiction recovery incorporating the healing aspects of yoga in the medical field. Ingrid also holds certificates in Pranic Healing, Reiki, and Polarity energy work. She invites you to join her in a mindful, holistic practice that encompasses strength and safe alignment, while relaxing into your inner peace.
