Meet Your Teachers
Alexandros was following what seemed like a conventional path to becoming a Human Rights lawyer, with studies in England, France, and Belgium, and professional and volunteering work experience all around the world. Through Yoga, he found passion, was reminded of the meaning of life, and knew he had discovered a new platform and science through which he could be of service.
He has committed to a daily physical Yoga practice since September 2014, a daily breathing and meditation practice since September 2016, and decided to become a certified Yoga teacher in October 2016. Now, with over a thousand hours of Yoga training and over a thousand additional hours of Yoga teaching under his belt, Alexandros promotes a safe practice that applies ancient and modern traditions to his students’ current realities, so they may impersonate the Health and Happiness that constitute their very right and responsibility by virtue of their birth.
Harley felt an immediate connection with yoga when she took her first class five years ago. Although she recognized that it was much more challenging than she imagined, physically and mentally, she was drawn to continue on and learn more. She didn’t know why at the time, but she knew this was going to become her lifestyle and not just a pastime or hobby.
Harley completed a 200hr intensive training in Tantric Hatha Yoga at Blue Osa in Costa Rica in 2016, but since has taken to Ashtanga yoga as her daily practice. She studies extensively at home and around the world, dedicating her life to being a forever student. She is in the process of becoming a certified yoga therapist, while also getting her Masters in Social Work. She strives to integrate all of the knowledge and experience she’s accumulated to develop a well-rounded, wholistic therapy practice that she can share with others.
Currently, Harley teaches several styles of yoga at multiple studios all over Long Island. She knows that there is no one cookie cutter type of yoga because everyone is different in mind, body and spirit. She teaches vinyasa, hatha, ashtanga, kids and chair yoga, and her aim is always to make the practice accessible to all levels and types of people. Yoga is for healing, for loving, for growing and for accepting. It’s for everybody, and she wants you to feel that and believe it!
What is a typical day?
The following is a sample schedule of what might to expect.
5:00am – Coffee and tea is served. We practice morning silence until 7:30 and invite you to use this time to journal, meditate, or sit in the stillness of nature. We also have a self-guided meditation walk available.
7:30am – Morning Fruit, Granola, and homemade yogurt
8:30am – Blue Osa Energizing Yoga Practice (This practice will be about 2 hours.)
12:00pm – Lunch is served
Free time all afternoon to relax, chill in the hammocks, go on eco adventures, walks on the beach, spa treatments, etc.
5:45pm – Cocktails, Wine or Natural Juices.
6:30pm – Dinner
On a selected day, we will plan a “Save The Turtle Adventure”!

What’s Not Included? Incidentals, items from the Blue Osa store, gratuities, international flights, extra spa services, and specialized excursions and adventures. The airport shuttle is ONLY included on the day the retreat begins and ends. If you arrive or depart on another day, the fee is $29.
Blue Osa Cancellation and Refund Policy: All fees paid for workshops and retreats are non-transferable and non-refundable. In paying for a workshop, you agree to these terms.
