About Your Teachers
Susan teaches all levels of yoga instruction from gentle restorative, and beginner to level 3 advanced classes. After exploring many forms of yoga and meditation she developed an eclectic form of yoga which she calls “creative flow”. Her classes incorporate Vinyasa flow, Hatha, Core power and Anusara. She also includes hands-on assists leaving her students feeling rejuvenated and blissful. Susan’s spirit is reflected when she often plays her harmonium and sings during meditation and savasana.
Incorporating her love of music, she has also choreographed many classes designed for special events and holidays. The main emphasis in her classes is on proper alignment and working all the areas of the body so that both internal physical and mental healing can take place. Susan believes in finding each students individual strengths and helps each student in a joyful way to reach their full potential. Although Susan defines yoga as a “moving meditation” she believes it should also be playful and fun. Her spirit and intuitive nature bring her students to a higher level of physical as well as spiritual well-being. She has practiced yoga and meditation for over 15 years. She is RYT 200 certified, Anusara Inspired certified and is presently completing a massage therapy degree. She has a Masters degree in Music from Eastman School of Music.
Hanz is an avid outdoor activist and in addition to teaching vinyasa core-strengthening yoga, he also offers outdoor adventures that combine hiking with outdoor yoga. You will also see Hanz working with Susan in many of her classes providing hands-on assists to enable the students to extend further in every pose.
He also teaches restorative classes while Susan plays the harmonium and sings throughout the entire class. The live music along with restorative yoga creates a perfect balance for feeling relaxed at the end of a long day.
Hanz has been practicing yoga for 12 years and holds an RYT 200 certification from CorePower yoga. When he is not teaching or practicing yoga you can find him building trails, coaching cross-country skiing to kids, or working as a ski/bike guide for a local touring company.

I have practiced yoga for 16 years and I have never had a teacher like Hanz Johansson. Not only is he an experienced teacher, he makes incredibly effective adjustments and guides me with deep spirituality. I feel fully expanded and centered after every session I have had with Hanz. Thank you Hanz!

Susan’s session of subtle moves and mental calmness reminded me of French impressionistic art.
