New Year Yoga Getaway with Juan Gamboa

New Year Yoga Getaway with Juan Gamboa

Blue Osa caught up with the former Wall Street employee turned Yogi, Juan Gamboa, to get a taste of his upcoming retreat that will focus on setting intentions and reconnecting with the soul at Blue Osa.

How has yoga changed your life?

Yoga has changed my life in countless ways. Where do I even begin? For one, I have more awareness of my body, actions and thoughts. I have a more thoughtful way to connect with others and myself.

When did you realize you wanted to teach yoga?

I knew I wanted to teach yoga when I lost my job on Wall Street during the financial crisis – I sought out what I was passionate about and what resonated with my soul.

That path led me to teach yoga!

Why did you decide on Blue Osa for your retreat?

Blue Osa IS paradise personified. Period.

October is Spa Month at Blue Osa – what’s your favorite spa ritual?

Hmmmm. SLEEP! It’s the best way to rejuvenate the body and mind.

Tell us a little about what we can expect from your upcoming retreat.

The retreat will be a way to unplug from the daily routine and reconnect to the Soul – a reSOULution retreat! It will be a way to set intentions and resolutions for the New Year. There will be opportunities to do yoga, of course, which will be playful, energizing and empowering – but also grounding and centering, when needed. Opportunities to meditate and journal will also be offered.

Who is this New Year Yoga Getaway with Juan Gamboa for?

If you like to sweat out your intentions in an open, playful setting, then this retreat is for you. If you want to escape to Paradise, practice yoga, reflect on your intentions and set your resolutions for the year, then this experience is for you. A huge theme to the retreat is to LET GO of things that no longer serve us and to ENGAGE the present, RECONNECT to your SOUL – SOAR towards the future.
