Unveiling Your Mastery And Purpose in the Mystical Practices Of Yoga: 200-Hour Prana Yoga Teacher Training Immersion
Now you’re open to more.
The Blue Osa Prana Yoga Teacher Training 200-hour immersion in The Mystical Practices of Yoga will help you deepen your spiritual practice.
It’s a rare offering. It’s easy to find classes preparing you to be an instructor…
…but this particular training + eco-resort retreat is a spiritual quest.
It’s about taking a journey. It’s about connecting intimately with the mystical practices of yoga — the ones you hear about and read about but few people experience or practice.
The Mystical Practices of Yoga one-month prana yoga teacher training immersion will not only unlock those mysteries, but will introduce you to a tradition that has been passed on from teacher to students for thousands of years.
If yoga was Star Wars, these mystical practices are the school of jedi masters.
It’s a deep immersion in these teachings of yoga — not just learning them as a subject but experiencing and practicing them directly. You’ll learn how to apply them in your life so that you get to know yourself truly and deeply.
The Mystical Practices of Yoga Prana Yoga Teacher Training Immersion at Blue Osa in Costa Rica is a foundational (200–hour) program for serious students of yoga, teachers and aspiring teachers. It is recognized by Yoga Alliance and comprises three areas of study: The Theory and Practice of Yoga, Yoga Philosophy, and The Art of Teaching.
A key component of this teacher training will be a complete and in-depth study and practice of the power of pranayama. You will practice pranayama for at least two hours every day so that when you leave, you will have authentic, direct experience in this practice and be fully confident in your ability to teach what you have learned.
In Your Prana Yoga Teacher Training, You Will Learn:
- The energetic effects of asana
- The science and application of Mantra (the transformation science of sound)
- The Koshas and how they are a gateway to complete fulfillment in life
- How to fully access the full evolutionary power of the chakras and the complete potential of what they can be in your life
- How to sequence and structure transformational 60 and 90 minute classes that will deeply affect the lives of your students.
- The ascending power and grace of Kundalini Yoga
- Kriya Yoga (as passed down from the Himalayan Tradition)
- Laya Yoga
- Yoga Nidra as taught by the Himalayan tradition and western tradition
- Several meditation techniques to calm the mind and awaken your spirit
- The mystical art of fire and ritual. You will learn how to conduct your own as well as lead them in group situations
- Several meditation and ritual techniques to purify the physical, energetic and mental body
The specific physical and spiritual knowledge you’ll learn and practice at the Blue Osa One Month Prana Yoga Teacher Training will help you become more certain, steadfast and strong —
— which means you’ll be truly and deeply ready to offer this space to your students. And Yourself.
Your one-month prana yoga teacher training in The Mystical Practices of Yoga is credentialed with the Yoga Alliance, but its true value in your life is much greater than that.
This immersion will help you learn to use yoga to connect with your life’s purpose, change the direction of your life, and manifest immediate results. It will deepen your personal practice, expand your consciousness, and help you unlock the magnificence and potential you possess.
Thrive. Flourish. Go where you’re called to go.

“Blue Osa itself was amazing – from the scarlet macaws to the beach to Marie’s great cooking. But the best part was working with Aaron and the student teachers. When I went to Blue Osa for teacher training in 2011, my intent was to teach a class or two, substitute teach and grow my practice. From these experiences I now teach more, create new practices and continue to learn and grow more than I could have imagined. I now have my own studio and continue to be more passionate about yoga every day.”Denny Los Angeles, CA
Aaron was a delight and I thoroughly enjoyed his quirky sense of humor and his hearty laugh. Aaron exudes an air of acceptance so when you are with him you feel you can be totally yourself and there is no need to hide. He is very knowledgeable and it is clear that he is a well-practiced yogi with a lot of insight to share. He always stood firm in his beliefs and who he was and that is something I greatly admire, his sense of security.Kealia New York, NY
“Through Yogi Aaron, yoga teacher training has helped me not only become a good teacher but helped me grow into my most authentic self! If you’re serious about your yoga practice, whether you want to teach or not, I highly recommend you take teacher training! It’s very transformative. You’ll thank me when you’re done!”Hollis New York, NY
“Yogi Aaron’s Yoga Teacher Training at Blue Osa is totally amazing in every way. I loved the structure and the length of the training. Even though 28 days seems like a long time to be away from your regular life, it’s actually a perfect amount of time to really learn how to teach yoga and to embody all of the practices Aaron shares with you.
I was surprised by how easy it was to wake up with the sun rise every morning. I loved starting each day with the meditation and breathing exercises.
I was so grateful for all the little things that were well planned and so thoughtful during my stay. The food was fresh, healthy, varied and delicious. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Our rooms were cleaned every day and a laundry service was provided once a week. The grounds and surrounds are magnificent and being right on the beach were such a bonus. There was one afternoon when it was raining and umbrellas were left for us so we could walk the short distance to our rooms or the dining area without getting wet.
I looked at quite a few options for YTT but kept coming back to Blue Osa. Trusting this decision is one of the best things I have ever done!! Thank you Blue Osa team xox”Joanne Australia

After running this immersion for 6 years, we asked our past students if they would have appreciated a shorter immersion, and this is what they said.
I think the pace was great. Getting those 200 hours in fewer days would eliminate the rest days, and those were super necessary to avoid burnout. Besides, who would want to be at blue osa for LESS time?? I’m just about ready to run away back there forever! LolEmma
The month was a long time but it gave us s chance to bond with each other in a way that a shorter time might not have. One reason I took it was because it was condensed but I have the leisure to be away that long. Not sure how you would get 200 hours in a shorter time. Would cut into our benefitting from your knowledge. Long answer for s no.Robert
I chose Blue Osa because it was one of the longest immersions I could find-that’s what I was looking for. I think there was a good balance of free time in the afternoons/off days and work time. I also agree that we bonded so much in the last days of the training, that might not have happened if it were only 3 weeks long.Brittney
I feel like if it had been any shorter length of time I wouldn’t have gotten as much out of it. The immersion is so intense, it took me at least a week to acclimate to the schedule and get into retreat mode. It was nice to have a whole month to get used to the daily practice, study, and yet still find time to relax and unwind.Shelley
One month is the right amount of time! It allowed us to truly experience and see the benefits of daily practice. Anything shorter would have felt like we left unfinished. I should also say that going into it I had wished it was shorter because I had exactly one month off from work. BUT…I made it happen because I truly wanted to, and I’m so glad I did! People can make it work…we all did!Jess

In addition to the 3 months following the One-Month Immersion, you are given a lot of time during the immersion to also complete your book reports.
You may also complete the book reports prior the the beginning of the immersion, or anytime during the immersion. Basically, you may complete the book reports the moment you register for this immersion.
Instructions for the book reports are given ONCE you have registered and not before.
